With three new models and different options, the SV35 offers the right solution for virtually any application. The machines include a wide variety of features and present flexibility in an affordable package, ideal for automotive workshops and industrial production operations with small to medium production batches. The modern servo-drive package guarantees constant crosshatch finish over the entire bore and has sufficient power reserves for high stock removal rates, even in combination with CBN and diamond abrasives.

The PC-based touchscreen control with Sunnen2 HMI assists in selecting the optimum process parameters, thus ensuring simple and fast operability.

The design with the solid cast iron spindle tower and front loading with a weight capacity of up to 600 kg ensures versatility when honing even heavy, large-format components.

Sunnen SH machines are consistently taking the horizontal series, which has been successful for decades, to the next level of evolution. This generation of horizontal machines achieves high profit with low initial costs through proven mechanics and electronics. The SH5000 is designed for medium to high volumes.
The machine is also available with standardized automation, which is characterized by very short setup times and low workpiece-specific costs.

The new, patented, linear hybrid feed system with servo motor works sensitively and powerfully at the same time and offers precise shut-off accuracy. All necessary process parameters are controlled via the large touch screen with Sunnen2 HMI, pre-stored, tool-specific parameters and teaching of positions eliminate the need for time-consuming programming.

The SV34xx is the next step in the continuing evolution of the Sunnen SV series. A new look combined with the new Sunnen2 control.

The SV34xx series honing machines combine power, precision, durability and technology to make vertical honing more economical and productive than ever before. This innovative solution features a patent-pending stroke system that independently corrects the bore shape using short strokes with automatic bore detection. The result: a straight and round bore with a constant crosshatch.

A horizontal traverse axis for the honing spindle allows automatic machining of offset bores as an option. The PC-based touchscreen control with Sunnen2 HMI assists in selecting the optimum process parameters. And, because it’s built on a proven, modular platform, this system can be automated or otherwise customized to meet your exact requirements.

The new SV30xx and SV31xx powers the success story of previous SV generations into the next era of high precision production systems. With over several hundred installed SV machines worldwide, this new SV series is the result of listening to feedback and experience from our customers and technicians. Improvements have been incorporated without neglecting the core competencies such as best precision and customization.

The working area of the SV30xx and SV31xx has been enlarged, simplifying access to the operational and maintenance areas. The redesign of the solid base made of polymer composite ensures the reduction of vibrations, while the increased rigidity of the cast iron column for holding the drive section stands for optimum precision.

The principal feature is the new Sunnen control system. Based on the latest generation from Beckhoff, the user interface provides easy setup and perfect process control.
